SJC’s PREP Program

Page updated 10.02.17

St. John Cantius’ Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) is a year-long program which provides religious education to our parish children who attend non-Catholic schools. We welcome children from ages 5 to 14.
PREP classes are held every Thursday from 6:00 to 7:30 PM in the school building.
Cost: $80 for one child, $150 for 2 children, and $50 for each child after.
Please remember that before a child receives the sacraments (First Penance, First Communion, or Confirmation), he or she MUST receive two (2) years of religious instruction.

Since we will not be using the school building, we will need to hold the classes in various areas of our campus. We have over 120 children attending PREP and no one location can accommodate all of them at the same time. Our plan is to use the School Annex (the small school building across from PJPII School, next to the church), some rooms in the convent building and the room in the back of chapel (St. Joseph Hall). Once we have our children registered and have an idea of our class sizes we will be able to assign classrooms. We will also have Level K (kindergarten) available. I encourage you to register early so that we can order needed supplies and make necessary arrangements for classrooms.
Registration forms for PREP classes are available in the Rectory.
